Summary

An educational course provider for both online and live courses is looking for a Web developer / Designer to create a new website along with implementing a new CMS system and transferring the data from the older CMS system to the proposed new system.

A newly developed Moodle website has been created, further updates will be required and the above new project will need to be connected to the same.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, management, build and the rollout of various existing web templates and components.

This role will provide an essential web development/design and project management support for the education organisation and support crucial areas for the company as the website (s) is the main and primary communications tool to promote courses, research and assist website functions online.

Technical skills required

3 - 5+ years of experience in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript (preferably Angular)/jQuery

3rd Level qualification, ideally in a relevant discipline

Experience in PHP (2.0 and 3.0)

Experience in Moodle essential

Experience with PHP frameworks (Bootstrap, WordPress)

Experience in system/server administration

Experience working with SSL Cert

Experience with front-end technologies and styling such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS

Experience with DevOps, LAMP

Experience in UI development (Mobile Preferable)

Experience implementing and developing plugins for CMS solutions

Experience creating and implementing technical specifications

Proficient in DOM manipulation

Proficient in optimizing web performance

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Proficient in understanding website redirects

Knowledge of SEO

Knowledge of best practices

Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming

Knowledge of Setting up payment gateway

*Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities. Highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
