Grooveyard Event Management, Ireland's Best Event Management Company 2014, 2015, 2016 - Event Industry Awards, are currently recruiting for a number of roles in our Dublin and believe some of Fitzwilliam Institute's Events students and graduates would be perfect to to fill the roles.

 

Events and Activations Intern

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about events and the event industry. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insight into the events industry while working with the best in the business.

The internship will last at least 6 months. The successful candidate will gain experience in a

number of fields, including:

-       The organisation and running of successful events – from preparation to execution

-       Liaising with both clients and suppliers

-       Helping develop successful event management plans and event schedules

-       Budgeting large scales events and activations

-       On-site experience at both large and medium scale events and activations

Desired Skills and Experience

Education

Experience in Event Management or closely related field

Requirements

-       Be passionate about Events

-       Be enthusiastic and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude

-       Be proficient in Microsoft Office – including Excel and Powerpoint

-       Be willing to work weekends at events and activations

-       Have a keen attention to detail

Account Executive - Events & Activations

Job Description

Reporting directly to senior account manager

Attract and interview new personnel to join brand ambassador teams Co-ordination and booking of staff - nationwide

Development, implementation  and logistical coordination of events and promotional campaigns  Sourcing of uniforms and supplies

Report generation - written & photographic

Development and management of personnel liaison at all points and stages of campaigns Ensure day to day running of campaigns

Work along side team on all campaigns from initial concept, pitch process, implementation, management, post campaign analysis, feedback and reporting  

On site management of both large and medium scale events and activations

Desired Skills & Experience

3rd level degree/ Accredited 3rd level cert/ diploma in Marketing Knowledge of and passion for events and experiential campaigns

Proven ability to work as a team player within a fast paced and challenging environment Proficient in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint

Excellent people skills 

Full driving licence and own transport not essential but an advantage Good report/proposal writing skills & command of English

Excellent communication skills 

Highly organised & efficient Pro-active & motivated

A logistical thinker & problem solver  

Punctual

Possess a very keen attention for detail  A flair for innovation and creativity
